Kimmswick, Missouri : In March 2009, we spent a day in Kimmswick, Missouri just south of St. Louis. Compared to when this small town celebrates the Strawberry Festival and Apple Butter Festival, it was MUCH sleepier at this time of year...though the Blue Owl is ALWAYS packed. Christmas Traditions in St. Charles : One of the things we love about St. Charles is the yearly celebration of "Christmas Traditions" on Main Street. The merchants go all out to decorate their store-fronts, and the streets are alive with actors dressed as traditional Chistmas characters from all around the world. It's a guaranteed way to get into the Christmas Spirit.
